Tournament Report
This was to be a 'Sealed pack' tournament with the new 'Bounty Hunters' set
but due to a hold up in customs I didn't have enough stock, so I grabbed a case
of 'Champions' and allowed people to choose which packs they wanted.
I knew that Bounty Hunters was stronger overall in the way of characters but I
hoped that a few people would get the champions packs in order to try their
luck.
For the 13 players I had 18 packs of Bounty Hunters (which everyone wanted
as it was the new set) but in the end it was the Champions packs that provided
the more powerful pieces. The top 5 players had Ulic, Mace Windu, VK-47 and
Qui-gon between them and did very well.
Someone also pulled Yoda from Dagobah!
Figures that did very well from the new set were Skiff, mandalorian sniper
and speeder.
Figure of the day 'award' was Basilisk war droid with its Strafe ability; there
were 3 being played with and they dominated - the most powerful display was on
a second turn when it shot 4 opponents and killed 3 of them.
